Earthalujah!: Reverend Billy & The Stop Shopping Choir

April 4 - 7, 2019

Reverend Billy and the Stop Shopping Choir is a New York City based Earth-defending performance community with 50 members and a congregation of thousands.  Their street theater and concert stage shows work in parallel, employing humor and music to resist Monsanto/Bayer's toxins, defend the honeybees, protect immigrants, and more.

Led by the Reverend, performance director Savitri D, and music director Nehemiah Luckett, more than 40 choir members traveled to New Orleans.  They performed songs for earth justice and social change at the Southern Rep Theatre, marched onto the grounds of Monsanto in nearby Luling, paraded through the French Quarter as Tourists Against Trump, and sang to inmates who listened from the windows of New Orleans Central Lockup.
